How Do The Dandelions Help Your Health?

457539675_d5c2d43dc9_mWho would think that dandelions in your lawn could be so beneficial?  Dandelions can help treat the following problems:

  • Acne & Constipation
  • Digestion problems & High blood pressure
  • Gallstones & Gout
  • Osteoarthritis & Psoriasis
  • Eczema & Weight loss.

The reason why dandelions, once mixed with other chemicals, can help with all the above problems is because the dandelion contains vitamins A, B, C, and D. They also contain large amounts of phenolic acids, potassium, and most importantly calcium.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, a serving of uncooked dandelion leaves contains 280 percent of an adult’s daily requirement of beta carotene as well as more than half the requirement of vitamin C. And,

The modern French name for this plant is pissenlit (lit means bed) because the root and leaf tea act on the kidneys as a gentle diuretic, improving the way they cleanse the blood and recycle nutrients.

Unlike pharmaceuticals diuretics, this doesn’t leach potassium, a vital mineral, from the body. Improved general health and clear skin result from improved kidney function.

It is recommended for weight loss of stressed-out, internally sluggish, and sedentary people. Anyone who’s a victim of excessive fat, white flour, and concentrated sweeteners could benefit from a daily cup of dandelion tea.

Drink dandelion tea regularly to help return normal liver function. The liver is responsible for processing the toxins our bodies absorb daily.

When the organ is not working properly, those toxins are excreted through the skin rather than through the digestive system. This causes acne and other skin problems.

Dandelions have scientifically documented potent diuretic properties. It relieves constipation and eases bloating and swelling. Dandelion should be used for 4 to 6 weeks at a time. For it’s liver benefits dandelion is helpful for acne.

dandelionRootDandelion root is a mild laxative. It is considered one of the most effective detoxifying herbs.  It works on the liver, the kidneys and the gallbladder to accelerate the removal of toxins from the body.

It also is used to relieve skin problems such as eczema and psoriasis, to prevent and possibly dissolve gallstones, and to treat osteoarthritis and gout.

Dandelion root is beneficial for overall gallbladder health. When taken on a regular basis, its root may prevent gallstones from forming in the gallbladder.

Its root is also beneficial with pre-existing gallstones as they can aid in dissolving them so they can be easily eliminated out of the body.

Parts of the dandelion may be consumed in a tea, a wine, an extract or tincture, or in combination with other medicinal herbs and flavorings in a reduced broth.

Young dandelion greens are tender and delicious served raw in salads or sandwiches. If you use the greens that have been harvested after the plant has flowered, you can blanche them in water to remove the bitterness.

Dump the bitter water, and blanche them again. You will loose a lot of vitamins this way, but there are still plenty of beneficial nutrients left.

To make dandelion tea, use the dried chopped root or leaves of the dandelion.Pour a cup of very hot water over 1 or 2 teaspoons of the herb and allow it to steep for about 15 minutes.

The tea can be blended with other herbs, such as licorice, and sweetened with honey.

Dandelion should not be used during acute attacks of gallstones.

Seek professional medical attention.

I’ve been looking at the specs for the 705 and it says it does not do heart rate based calorie estimation. Can anyone confirm this? Does it do any kind of calorie calculation? Seems a bit odd that it could navigate you around the world but does not have something as simple as a calorie counter.

It all started 3 years ago when i was 15 years old. I noticed, that there’s too many blackheads and pimples on my face. I started to wash my face more frequently, but it had no use, my acne just got worse. Than my mom bought me some garnier cleanser. I started using this cleanser and it looked like it really works. After one month i understood, that this cleanser doesn’t help me either, it just reduces some redness on my face a little bit. After this i started to search in the internet more information about my problem

Is it harmful to drink lots of green tea? Also, Is it normal to feel dizzy when dringking green tea?

  29. admin Says:

It doesn’t sound normal to get dizzy after drinking tea. Are you positive that it is the green tea and not someting else?
Since green tea does have some caffine in it there is a possibility of getting a little dizzy depending on how much you have eaten, if you are dehydrated, are taking certain medications or mixing it with other herbals.
If you haven’t eaten in a while be sure to eat something like a few cheese and crackers or tea sandwich with it.
