Natural Skin Care: Pumpkin
Natural skin care with pumpkin will help nourish and rejuvenate your skin.It is most beneficial for the skin because of the phytonutrients that are found in pumpkins.

Pumpkin makes an excellent face mask ingredient for all skin types, especially environmentally damaged or sensitive skin.
High in Vitamin A (skin healing), C (anti-oxidant) and Zinc, the pumpkin soothes, moisturizes and acts as a carrier, assisting the other mask ingredients to absorb deeper into the skin and intensifying the results.
Pumpkin Face Mask
- 2 Tbs cooked pumpkin
- 1 Tbs honey
Mix well and apply all over your face. Leave for about 10-15 minutes before washing off.
Pumpkin Body Scrub
- ½ C pumpkin, cooked and pureed
- ½ C brown sugar
Mix well and apply to your body using gentle, circular motions. Then rinse off with warm water.

Pumpkin Body Butter
1/2 cup pumpkin puree, preferably organic 1/2 cup solids from a can of coconut milk 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1. Mix ingredients in a bowl. Apply generously to clean skin (standing or sitting on a towel, if you like), massaging gently to work well into the skin.
2. Allow to remain on for 10 minutes or so, then rinse with warm water and pat dry.
A pumpkin face pack has excellent cleansing and moisturizing properties. It also serves to lighten the skin tone. So refresh and rejuvenate your face with a home made pumpkin face pack.
Pumpkin Face Pack
- You will need natural ingredients like ripe pumpkin, green apple and pine apple for the face pack.
- Blend all of these ingredients to form a thick, smooth paste.
- Apply the face pack with a spatula and rinse off when dry.
Smooth it on: Pumpkin Pudding Facial In a food processor or blender, combine 2 cups canned pumpkin, 4 tablespoons low-fat vanilla yogurt, 4 tablespoons honey, and 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice. Coat face; leave on for 10 minutes, then rinse. It’s good for hydrating and softening skin.
